Revival of the 2012 production with the excellent cast and revival director Caroline Chaney.

Dances for the Minuet, La Folia and a Contredanse were all combined in action as they are in Mozart’s extraordinary score. Other movement work supported action, created atmosphere and was performed with skillful dignity by the very excellent WNO chorus.

A pleasure to return to this company after beginning a career in opera there (38 years ago!) with the wondrous Onegindirected by Andrei Serban which set a marker for how a chorus can also dance!
